The Gospel

The good news is that God loved us before the foundation of the world and chose us in Christ. He sent his Son into the world, conceived in the womb of the virgin, Mary. He was made like us in every way, yet without sin. He was born in Bethlehem and was named Jesus and did not have a sin nature, but more than that he deliberately chose to live a life of complete obedience to God. Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Christ or Messiah of the Bible. Jesus lived the life that Adam should have lived but failed and the life we should live but also fail to live. Despite being a truly righteous man, Jesus was arrested, tortured, and crucified on a cross. On the cross, the sins of all his people were transferred onto him, paying the debt of our sin and purchasing his people to be his very own. On the 3rd day of his death, Jesus rose from the dead, proving that God has accepted his sacrifice and that he is a righteous man. In his resurrection, we are raised from spiritual deadness to new life. In his resurrection, we are united to Christ and gain his record of perfect obedience. God has called us to himself in Christ Jesus out of the world He gives us the Holy Spirit of God as a deposit and adopts as his children. And just as Jesus rose from the dead, we are promised that one day in the future, we shall also rise from the grave and be given a new physical body. If you believe this, turn to God and give up your rebellion against God (repent of your sins), asking for forgiveness, telling Him you are trusting in Jesus alone and ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit.
